Dr. Gury Batlle
Dr. Gury Batlle is a graduate of the highly acclaimed University of California, San Francisco's (UCSF) School of Dentistry, a leader in oral and craniofacial health since 1881. UCSF has been ranked the top dental school in the country in research funding from the National Institutes of Health for 25 years.
Before dental school, Dr. Batlle received a Bachelor of Science degree in cellular and molecular biology from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he did extensive cancer research and genetic transmission studies. Volunteering his time for a good cause was also a high priority, and Dr. Batlle was extensively involved with the Dream Center Skid Row Outreach program, Van Nuys Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center, San Fernando Wildlife Audubon Society, and the Clean-Dezert Organization.
As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Batlle was exposed to the profession at a young age. His family has over 30 years of experience in the dental field, with an established practice near the North Hollywood Arts District, where Dr. Batlle began his career.
Soon after, he was recruited to work in a large multi-specialty group practice in Valencia, California, where he was privileged to serve the local community in a setting that utilized the most modern dental technology and the latest approaches to oral health.
During this time, Dr. Batlle formed close relationships with several notable specialists in his profession who provided invaluable mentorship and contributed significantly to expanding his clinical skill set. After relocating to Ventura County with his wife and growing family, he connected with Dr. Douglas Topper, Moorpark’s longest practicing dentist and a community favorite due to his genuine kindness and clinical excellence. Dr. Topper retired from his well-established practice after 34 years and chose Dr. Batlle to succeed him. After Dr. Batlle acquired the practice, he subsequently changed the official name to Moorpark Dental Studio.
Dr. Batlle strives to perfect his craft as a clinician. Every year he completes a multitude of advanced continuing education courses, well over the minimum requirements to maintain licensure. He also serves as a member of several notable dental associations and professional groups.
Outside of education and community projects, Dr. Batlle enjoys metal fabrication, music production, bicycling, camping, boating, and exploring new places with his wife and young daughter.
Currently, Dr. Batlle practices general and cosmetic dentistry in Moorpark, California, and is proud to serve the surrounding communities with high-quality dental care.

Dr. Chris Ibrahim, DDS
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS)
A native of Southern California, Dr. Chris Ibrahim devoted most of his adolescence to playing team sports and fishing year-round. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC) where his spark for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) ignited. After graduating in 2016, he went on to complete two internships and a four-year OMFS program from the Dental College of George at Augusta University. Dr. Ibrahim has a strong interest in sedation, wisdom teeth extraction, dental implants, filler and botox injections, orthognathics, trauma, and reconstruction. Dr. Ibrahim joined the team at Moorpark Dental Studio in 2022 to provide surgical services for our patients which had previously needed to be referred out.
In his free time, Dr. Ibrahim enjoys spending time with his young nephew, Jayson, and enjoying the outdoors. With a unique interest in Formula 1 racing, he looks forward to restoring antique English cars in the near future.
Gabriela Hoban
Office Manager
After running her own business for several years, Gabriela joined Dr. Douglas Topper in 2005 and stayed with him until he retired. Now she continues working with Dr. Batlle at our newly-branded Moorpark Dental Studio. In her position as our Office Manager, Gabriela's role is to provide clerical support, coordinate appointments, address insurance, and ensure that the office runs seamlessly.
Gabriela’s favorite part of working at our practice is the positive energy we share with our patients. She loves welcoming friends and neighbors that walk through our doors and playing a part in helping them achieve excellent oral health.
When she’s not helping our patients, Gabriela likes to spend time with family, catch an art exhibit, and listen to music whenever possible.
Karina Reyes
Back Office Assistant
Karina attended Everest College and started working in the dental field in 2013. She joined Moorpark Dental Studio as a dental assistant in 2021. Karina's role is to assist the dentist in providing a variety of procedures, including taking x-rays, coronal polishing, flossing, and fluoride applications.
Karina strives to project an open and engaging demeanor, radiating positive energy and good humor. She says she has had many rewarding moments with her patients, but her favorite part of her job is being able to give someone back their smile.
In her free time, Karina likes to catch up on TV shows and movies.
Maria Velador
Front/Back Office Assistant
Maria had been a long-term team member of Dr. Topper's practice in the past, working as Office Manager and assisting with back office duties for over 15 years. After taking some time away from work and the dental profession to focus on family, she was ready to return and was offered a position to continue working with Dr. Batlle at our newly-branded Moorpark Dental Studio
Maria is currently the front and back office assistant and performs a variety of functions due to her extended experience in the dental field.
